The DNL staff has been busy this month trying to find more positive ways to encourage users to participate in the forums. As of late, the Lodge has seen an influx of traffic, mostly "lurkers". The Staff has always had a strong sentiment that if the environment is as friendly, helpful, and considerate as possible, more individuals will be willing to voice their opinion or ask a question.
Recently, a decision was made to remove the "rel=nofollow" attribute from member signatures if they achieve a post count of 50 or more. We feel this extra benefit will give more value to the posts users create and enhance the overall "link juice" that everyone would like to have.
Additionally, we have made even more improvements to the Adsense Revenue Sharing program! We have replace the single 728x90 ad unit which appears to guests after the first post in a thread, with two 300x250 ad units. Changing the colors and size of these ad units will increase the CTR (Click Through Rate) and in turn, generate more revenue for members who are creating threads. Although you may not be able to quit your day job by posting in the forum but we would like to give as much back to the community as possible.
Lastly, the Staff at DNL would like to thank all of our current members for making the forum what it is today - A friendly, warm, and inviting environment where open discussion and learning is encouraged!
We will be looking to constantly provide more improvements as time moves forward.
Thanks!
DNL Staff
