What is the best way (and secure way) to transfer large sums of money, like over 2,000 USD?

Just wondering. I'm assuming a bank wire?

yes,bank wire, as the banks will claim responsibility for complications, or if your traveling to do it yourself, cary it in travelers checks, which are garanteed.

try not to wire amounts over 10,000 per day. These get flagged at most all usa banks.
