Paypal Debit

How does paypal debit work? Does it really subtract right from your balance? And does it know immediately if you dont have sufficient funds?

two things:

one: yes, its almost instant, no longer than if it was by in a store.
two: ya, it does know if you go over, and in that case you would get a negative on your bill, unless you have overdraft prottection

Yes, it deducts from your balance and seems to treat it just like a bank account except it doesn't do the NSF thing if the money isn't there, it just won't let the transaction occur.

I have one too. It comes in really handy when you want to use paypal and a store doesnt accept it. You can just use the debit card

Proskater, I think you're a bit confused. A debit card can't put you in debt.. it only takes the money from the balance you already have in your paypal account. A credit card will cause debt, a debit can only be used if you actually have the money. It is like writing a check but you don't need to find an ink pen to do it. LOL!

Brandon, no fees except what an ATM will charge for using a card that didn't come from their bank. At least, I don't recall Paypal having any fees for using their card.
