Default Sitepoint's revenue!

I downloaded sitepoint's media kit which has some stats in it. Its crazy.

They get over 69k uniques a day.... and over 1,800,000 unqiues a month.

They sell over 1 million in books...

And move a ton of money from ads, and are sold out for most ads until 2007.

Can't wait till dnlodge is like that LOL!

Well, Sitepoint and WHT and others are mammoths already. They do spend a lot of money in promotion, servers, jobs, but they do have an insane revenue too. Let's hope our small sites will grow more, maybe not as these, but anyway, enough to be able to sustain a lot of resources ...

well, let's be realistical. We can't compete with SP, WHT and other "monsters". While we're increasing postcount with 100-1000 posts a day they're increasing with thousands of new posts a day .. but there is enough space under the sun for all of us

I agree but our website is only about Domains. I think we should definatly EXPAND! please PM if you are intrested, I can help a lot. NamePros has pretty much taken over for domains and I don't think we should only stir with domains. Lets expand. SitePoint.com has been here since 1997.

Yeh I kind of agree. NamePros will be the most popular domain forum for quite a while. I cant see any other site growing past them.

69k hits a day for Sitepoint, thats huge! They deserve it though, its the best overall web community around imo.

There traffic are going down everyday, because of the Looking to hire forums. Hard to believe, but yes all true.

They are huge but still very good. I wish i could make that much! but i suppose that it is a nightmare to monitor. They have good services though and a good way to get information. I found out about this site through sitepoint.

To be truthfull .... everyone at one stage has good things with there sites if they choose a wise choice and if they choose a bad choice everything goes wrong and screws up and the world then blows up ... only joking ... your site goes down!

This reminds me that I need to go to SP to place some $10 ads.

DN Lodge is not SP yet, but it's on its way.

Lets hope DN Lodge never becomes Site Point. I personally cant wait to see when DN Lodge is as big as them but I dont want DN Lodge to become as greedy as Site Point is now.

I understand they want less spam in the MarketPlace but.. its greedy (yes ArcadePunk) but it has kept all the spammy turnkeys sites from being sold and those paid to post jobs in the Looking To Hire. Theres more serious jobs now.
