Me, too. That was the only section left that you could post in for free and actually get results. It was a great place to post for forum posting exchanges, but now you have pay $1.

It WAS $5 to post in the trade your services forum, but then I posted a thread explaining why it should be $1, and sure enough, they changed it to $1. It's not as good as free, but it's defiantely better than $5!

It's rediculas.. I hate how they charge everything now, it's silly.

On the other hand, it would weed out people just spamming the forums with questionable websites etc..., this will improve the quality of websites being posted.

I think if you serious enough about offering a service, you won't mind paying a $1 fee, after all you are posting a service which you are getting paid to do.

$1 for advetising, especially on a forum, where the post won't be deleted, is pretty good I think. You could have prospects for a year, dependiong on how many posts are made after you that push you to the back pages.

Well after they added fees Ivisited sitepoint much less frequently. I used to be in their marketplace everyday but now I don't bother.

But I have posted a few paid threads in there, and most of them were a success.

And the fees defiantely improved the for sale sections, but all the others I don't like having the fee.

I wouldn't pay a fee either, but I wonder if they did it to help clean up the amount of posts going in, or was it just Greed.
