Default Offshore Banking

I heard many people opening Swiss, Norwegian, other offshore banks. I personally don't have one but I'm really interested.

Do you have an offshore bank? What are the advantages of offshore banking?

I don't have one and it's difficult to open up a Swiss bank account.

So I heard. I just don't know why people do this. Maybe it has something to do with taxes.

Just from reading and watching the Da Vinci code, Swiss account run purely on numbers. As in, there is no name/address attached to your account. This can be used for fraud. But again, this is just from a movie I wated a year ago

lol It's true though. The accounts are under number, not names.
