It takes a while to get everything loaded properly but it's okay.

Well thankfully it isn't the most resource heavy site in the world so even if I don't have images in my cache it loads pretty fast.

I voted for "The same speed", but there are faster and slower forums.

Dnlodge.com opened in 3 sec., loaded fully in 7 sec. Every next new category/thread opened in 2 - 6 sec.

How to speed up the forum:
1. Websiteoptimization test: 9 seconds on T1 (1.44MB/s) from US, which is bad. Home page size is 284KB, optimaly should not exceed 100KB. Images contribute 204KB (sponsor and DNLodge contest banners mostly) and scripts 65KB, which is the main reason for slow site loading.
2. DNS report shows some red/yellow alerts regarding nameservers:
ns3.dnlservers.com.
ns4.dnlservers.com.
well, I can't interprete this.
DNSStuff.com server timing test shows A+ (from A-F), which is good.
3. Domain name server spy shows only 4 domains hosted on dnlodge.com server but there are 38,015 domains hosted on the parent hostplanet server.
4. Alertra.com shows average and expected hosting server (located in US) response time from US/UK/Germany/China. Chinese visitors should experience considerably slower site opening though.

Webmasterworld.com opened in 1 second, loaded in 3 seconds, next categories opened in 1-3 sec. It is the perfect site for comparisoN: hosting server is also in US and hosting timing thest shows exactly the same A+ value as DNLodge.
Websiteoptimization shows perfect Home page built.

CONCLUSION: Site speed can be dramaticaly improved with very easy and quick move: delete/resize some banners (or try make banners in other image format - a graphic designer should answer this).

Which is because they have no images (besides the tiny logo) on their pages. I never understood why they had so many members with such a horrible website.

But anyway, , thanks. I have a program to optimize images and I should do that shortly. It should help a lot.

I've always used Jpeg Imager, which also manages gif and png files.

Well, in my opinion, DNL's speed is amazing, everthing loads so far, it's like 99% faster than most sites I visit, is it like on a dedi or something?
