vB-Skins.com BAD

vB-Skins.com is NOT a good vbulletin skin website. I dont recommend it. Here are some reasons...

First, when I ordered the skin, I couldent login to the member's area which it told me I would be able to. Then, once I finally got in, it said I didnt buy anything, so I had to wait a day or two for the admin to come on HIS website and enable me to download it.

If your buying an electronic product, you must expect to get it as soon after the payment is cleared. But not with this site.

Also, if you go on there support forums, notice how theres only a few posts. This is because he deletes all of the bad comments people made on there, and so no one could see all the problems people had with him.

Go to http://vb-skins.com/forum/search.php?searchid=410. This is the admin's profile on his site. As you will notice, he hasnt logged onto the site for 9 days, so DONT expect a fast responce if you want one, if you get a responce at all. He is very un responsible.

Also, his skins are NOT compatible with 3.5 when he says they are. I had to fix multiple problems on my forums with the incommpattibility, some having to cost me money when I couldent do it by myself.

Also, again aboutb the member's area.. my acount is now deleted for some odd reason... I can no longer download the product I purchased with MY $30, and if I ever want to redownload it I have to wait like a month for the admin JUST TO RESPOND!

Its a rip off. So dont buy from vb-skins.com. vb-skins is horrible.

Now lets see if anyone searching for vb-skins on google finds this thread. I will be happy if they do. I got #4 or 3 for the term "influx host" in google with my influx host thread.

PS, if the admin of vb-skins is reading this, feel free to register and post your reply, and maybe defend yourself?

I heard about their horrible service too. I ended up switching to phpBB and SMF anyway. Never liked vBulletin.

But not logging in 9 days? That is TERRIBLE.

I'll keep this in mind, if I'm ever too lazy to design a skin myself. I personally find no fun in having other people code things for me.

I was thinking of going into business to build up sites and sell them off, and a quick skinning place would've been useful. Any other places you'd recommend instead?

They have some good looking skins. Don't know what their service is like. I noticed on the 'shop' page that they say they won't be offering customer service until near the end of this month. Not sure what that's all about.

I was thinking that it might be good to start designing forum skins, too. Maybe someday.

You would have to learn how to code them though.. unless you hire a coder to help ya.
