I love wikipedia, great stuff, learn lots. Your opinion? P.S, they send lots of hits to my websites if you get them under external links

Yea.. the problem is people usually edit out the links if you add your site. I've tried it.

When I first discovered the ability to edit the pages, I added a link to my site one of their PR 8 pages just to try it out... haha. It was removed in 15 seconds.

haha, never thought of doing that. Those people really do keep the place pretty clean, i'm always amazed. So far my links haven't been edited out, I get a good 20 visitors per day on it. Great traffic builder if your site fits into a category.

On Wikipedia you can find info about practicaly everything. It is good that descriptions are make in a comprehensive manner: short, with definitions and many internal and external links. If you don't have a clue how some engine works or what an internet term means - you can find there quick. Searching is easy - with keywords.

Wikipedia is one of the best resources around. The only thing I worry about is if the information is accurate. I have used it for many research projects in school and turned out great.

i have been doing academic research papers and i have been actually wondering if wikipedia has gained same accuracy status as, say, msn encarta or britannica. the thing is, wikipedia is free and you don't need to subscribe for a fee just to access some valuable information. very useful reference for students and professionals alike!

I'm not worried about if the Wikipedia is accurate or not. I go there when I don't now nothing about a certain topic. In Google, I search when I know what I have to find, in Wikipedia I look to see what's the thing all about. I was looking for nitromethane fuel there and got quick idea about what it is. For further details I still needed some googling...

And, you can add a link of your site under appropriate topics. If your site is good, the link will stay there...
