Default Archive.org

Man you gotta love www.archive.org. It's fun to look at the websites that are really popular and see what was on them before.

Heh, true. Backrub (Google) is my fav to look at. It is rather funny that archive does not get sued really, the again it only does the same stuff as Google Cache.

It does more than google cache. Archive.org saves a copy of web pages from a long time ago. Google dosn't do this. Google cache only stores in it's index a version of the page from the most recent spidering of that site.

Speaking of sued, they have gotten sued at least once. I'm surprised it's still up, but I love it never the less.

You can prevent the indexing with a robot noindex option too =)

Yes, and I quite imagine that was brought up during the case.

I really like this website. The WayBack tool is great and they are the only website that I have seen that takes a screenshot and shows all dates that the history has changed. Most just show how many years from when it first started.
