E-gold is one of the top known e-bank. It is present mostly in "amateur" online earning.
Few of my friends were hacked because they didn't use that SRK button through which you type in the password by clicking on screen keyboard. I always use SRK, haven't been hacked so far.

If you use your own computer to access you account at E-Gold, is it easy hackable?

Having your own computer doesn't help much when comes to hacking...
Hacker can recognize your e-gold password with a program which detects which keys did you pressed on the keyboard. Almost all my friends - who were typing password in this way were hacked.

Yes, sure, I also use e-gold. Was only trying to encourage to use that SRK (Security Random Keyword) button to protect your account a little.

My account was hacked on e-gold as well and I lost over $50 due to it. E-gold is very amateurish and thier support is the WORST I have seen anywhere. I emailed them about my account being hacked and waited and waited finally exactly 3 months and 5 days later I get a response with them saying they need my address. I emailed them it and so far no response!

whoa! i didn't know that e-gold is that hackable! are there other alternatives to E-gold? i should have been more careful. i am now not sure if my account got hacked already. i haven't checked for the past week.

Its a common source for payments now after paypal , and i too use it.

Besides e-gold also a neteller is popular and especcialy moneybookers - in "Get Paid To" world. AlertPay is pretty new and it is already widely used.

I never knew its hackable , many people said its quite risky but they had good security , they are one of my payment option.

I think other payment processor like paypal, worldpay, moneybookers, chronopay and 2checkout are more popular these days.

Egold is great, but just like any other payment processor, watch out for keyloggers and scam pages.

I think Egold is really become one of the more reliable and efficient payment options around. And it is a good thing that it is available for asians, unlike paypal, which chooses which country to provide its services.
