Default Site Point.

Do you use them to sell your sites or domains or anything else? I think people think more results will turn up because Site Point thinks they're so good that they can charge. Is that a good thing though, that they charge? Personally I don't like it. I used to go there a lot but then they upped their prices and I just stopped going there. Was it a smart move by them? Did it make you stop going there as often as well?

Yes, it did make me stop going there as often. I used to check the marketplace forums more actively as I do now.

The only time I visit the marketplace now is if I want to sell a site/domain or hold a contest. With the new fees, Sitepoint is great for selling websites that are truely worth $500+. More people serious in buying websites for $xxxx are checking SP marketplace for good valued sites. This is one positive for their new fees.

But now you don't have a place to sell sites for under $100.

Just my opinion

Ya I used to be on site point almost 5 hours or more a day but then left after they started adding fee, after fee, after fee. They charge for everything in the marketplace from wanting to buy ads to trading services! Not only that but they keep upping the price and loose visitors each time. Right now they are saying they dont mind loosing a couple visitors but eventually it will add up and thats when ill be happy

I agree that you don't need to sell a $100 site on there. I say domain forums are fine enough.

For any "web-related" trading forums.digitalpoint is excelent. No fees, many members, a lot of knowledge, lot of earning oportunities.

Sitepoint.com/forum has some really really good lists of links from many web areas (Webhosting, Graphic design and other...). I noticed that it is not visited so much lately, but I still got answers on my questions there.
I consider them like a serious webmaster site and not much as trading site.

These days Sitepoint traffic has come down due to its charges for adding new threads. Digital is doing good and have no registration fees. I was doing lot of work in SitePoint before i Got to Digital. Now I prefer Digital a lot.
