This was one of the first search engines, email providers and free webpage hosts. Oh yah and one of the first "chat" places. They keep trying to update their site and add new features but nothing seems to be working. Now there's Hotmail for mail, MySpace for chatting, Google for searching and a TON of free hosts. Does anyone still use them though? Probably a lot of you never have. hah

Never used them, I'm sorry for those old good Internet companies like Lycos and Altavista that lost their luster and popularity.

I used to use IE all the time but one day I tried FF and never went back. lol I hope Lycos comes back though. Won't be as big as before though, especially because of all the free hosting companies out there.

I can imagine an ad campaign reminding people of Lycos' past success and that Lycos has decided to restore its lost glory, a campaign like this could really work.

i used to use Lyscos when i was ten i was screwing around and made a site i looked back at it today man that host and site just sucked lol if you want to see it pm me dont laugh though! it was my first one. oh by the way IE sucks so bad it screwed up my internet when i downloaded IE7 so now i use IE6 and what ever the newest version of FireFox is man i love FireFox
