When I think of Amazon I think of books. Does anyone use them to order things or for revenue? I browsed it a bit a few years ago but have never been back since. I see a lot of sites using them though.
I bought some stuff from there last night and it was insane. Crazy shipping fees and all kinds of crap like that. Pissed me off but the items were quality and it's for my mom so I don't mind spending a bunch of money.
They ship for free if you're items are eligible for super saver shipping. I never really pay shipping fees at Amazon, I always avail of the free shipping offer.
If you choose that "super" option for one product and it turns out that another product you're ordering doesn't qualify for that discount, you have fees to pay and you pretty much end up paying the same thing you would have paid before.
I order lots of things including electrical good. I also make a reasonable amount of income from their associate scheme - commission rates not high but conversion is.

Many sites are using them because it is reliable and and trusted.
They offer different consumer products and not just books. I never brought something from them, but I think they are one of the most reliable consumer sites on the internet.
