Do any of you use Escrow? The most popular one is PayPal but there's always a risk of fraud with PayPal.

Escrow is good if you do big online transactions. Pretty much anything over $500.

Do any of you use them?

After hearing about this and doing more and more online transactions I signed up for Escrow and they're pretty good. No problems...yet.

I haven't personally used them yet, although I've read of others having both positive and negative experiences with them. More positive ones, though.

It's simply a matter of knowing exactly what you're getting yourself into, and preparing for the worst.

Is it safer to use than Paypal?

I have never used Escrow but I know a lot of people use it when buying/selling domains and sites.

I haven't used it yet. Typically people don't feel comfortable using escrow as it gives the buyer a chance for fraud. Also haven't made any really big purchases.

It's not true actually. You have to go through this little Q&A thing to get to the payment section. You risk being a victim to fraud on PayPal.

Basically, it eliminates the need to trust the person you are doing business with. Escrow holds the money so that the worker knows it is available, and that it will be paid upon the completion of the job.
