Default BN.com vs Amazon.com

Jeez...

If you go to bn.com (barnes and noble) and look up your favorite books, then do the same thing in amazon, amazon is ALWAYS cheaper!! I spent $70 in a BN store the other day, if I bought the books all on amazon with the free shipping, I would have paid almost $55.

I'm an amazon person now!

Oh yea, I've noticed that. I've been buying my books from amazon for as long as I could remember. They are much, much cheaper, and often have free shipping.

Amazon.com and BN are strange. Amazon.com is always cheaper, but with the BN discount card, and the ability to track down whatever books you want, I almost always use BN.

I used to work for them.

Thats another thing. I found the BN members card a total RIP OFF. (in my opinion...)

The member card save 10% of all purchase. But then you ask.. "How do i get it?" Then the lady at the counter says.. just hand me a crisp fifty dollar bill.

The member's card costs $50 to get. so It means once you spend $500 with the card, assuming whenever you buy something you dont forget the card at home, you broke $50 flat in savings. Then after that you save.

But I find that with amazon, without paying a member ship price, I often get $20 off $50 computer books that I buy, which is much better than 10%. But I guess the card would be better for some, and worse for others.

I mean if it was like $25 or $30 I would definately get it.

This is all in my opinion, since I'm not an expert on Barnes and Nobles membership card, and dont even have one, maybe you should take someone elses opinion.

Well, I spend thousands of dollars on books every year, so it saves me hundreds of dollars in the end.

i think the only thing I dont like about BN is the fact that other people can touch what will soon be my personal property. I dont like it when people touch stuff thats mine :p

Well on the other hand, would you rather not people able to look inside and not be able to touch the book before buying it? So with that in mind, i dont care that other people touch it. Not as bad as people trying on pants that will be yours the next day.

BN.com is overly priced. Amazon is recommended.

Yea. Agreed. Even with their discount card the prices still arn't as good as BN.
