We have two spammers on the forums, that's pretty much why, so far I haven't seen a very "insightful" post from each of our 500+ points competitors.

Don't worry. Points are not final until a post review is completed by the Staff. I've seen some posts that are borderline.

Ya, well all you got to do is post some on the forum and refer people. That'll get ya the big stuff ^^

But the contest still has a ways to go, I can see people getting all the way to around 2,000 points before this ends.

Referrals are easy to get but people want a lot in return if they have to make posts and what not. It's ridiculous. I won't even bother with that.

That's the biggest thing, everyone needs to remember when they post they are helping the lodge. I mean yea the competition is nice, and the prizes are really nice but you gotta realize as well that the site is the biggest factor.

The reason referrals require 10 posts is because I really don't want people here if they don't want to be. That's when you end up with 20,000 users and 50 active users. The idea behind that is to target.

The first thing that comes to mind is "I got to ask 15 of my friends to make 10 posts". Not the best way to do it. Referral links can be used in many ways and targeting the right users with this link will work easier. They have plenty of time to make 10 posts if everyone would make "productive posts". The reason I want to run contests monthly is to reward the top performers and the people who actually care about the forum and not just the free prizes.

Just my 2 cents.

I'm going to make a blog post about it and send a bulletin on MySpace. If I don't get referrals, you'll definitely get some traffic.
