| | Short Domain Names
I've been buying a lot of domains in bulk lately and I decided to go for what I like to call "Futures". Basically, I figure any 3 or 4 letter domain name will be scarce in the next few years. There are still tons available out there now.
Of course you want to stick with the top 5 or 6 TLDs for them to really attain any good value. Wonder if a lot of 20 LLLL .info's would be worth top dollar in a few years?

.info will increase in value. I can't wait. I love that extension.

.info will eventually become a very professional name. You will be able to resell those in a few years at a much higher price then you paid.
*At least I hope, Lol

I don't know why people disregard them. They're great.

True, I think it's because the way the market treats them today.
$1.99 for a .info and $9.99 for a .com
That is just a put-down in my opinion

Well a four letter extension is a bit much but in my opinion, it's a good business domain.

I'm not going to bash .info's but I don't think their value will increase very much.
They were designed to be an inexpensive way for people to put their sites online and you can get them for $0.99 - $1.99; I'm not saying they're not valuable, of course there are some extremely valuable .info's, but I don't see anyone making much money on a stock pile of .info's unless they're generic words.

On a side note, wasn't it sold for $9.99 at one point in time?
I think I saw that on GoDaddy but I'm not too sure.

Ranking standards, PR updates, lots of factors. Most are unknown since the google algorithm isn't exactly "public"

I think I saw that on GoDaddy but I'm not too sure. | I'm pretty sure you're right about that but I believe GoDaddy was the only one that charged that much.

True, no one really can see spending $9.99 on a .info domain.
They will become big one day, so when they do it's going to be interesting to see who has what and what sells for what...

If it ever goes back to $.89 cents, I'll buy them in bulk and save them for when they increase in value. |

I honestly forget where it was and if the fee was included. I know it was over a year ago though.

I'm sorting through 155 .info's I picked up last week. Got a lot of 3 character and LLLL names.
