Are .biz domains worth anything?

I rarely see a .biz website out there. Are these TLDs worth anything at all?

Are they penalized in search results? I never see a .biz in a search result but that may be due to other reasons.

I don't believe they are penalized, but they are not popular.

.biz I guess never really took off for businesses, most saw .com and now use it since it is the most popular extension.

I'm not so familiar with .biz although I see some site with that but for me I preffer to use .com rather than .biz

the problem with .biz is that you have to use it exclusively for business purposes you can use it for annything else that in itself make companies think twice before getting .biz, btw some great domain names are still left in .biz, that you can use it, SEO probably remains the same as .coms only the usablity of the domain is restrictive

It's not that popular but I think with time, it'll be in demand. Mostly because the good extensions are going to be gone soon.

They will eventually be gone, although it's going to be a while since you have to own a business to register the name.

Anyone can register, but I am referring to if a business owns that name then you have to give up the domain or end up facing some sort of legal issues.

I think .biz extension are usually used for a business sites.

I'm going to say that they're not worth it. A lot of people don't use .biz domains. And Anyone can register them you don't need to own the rights to the company or whatever.

worth for me just fine... i think its best to you it as for the business but most companies.. commonly using .com as an extension because in the business there's are all open to possibilities.
