Do you register because you have made some thing for which yo uwant a domain
OR
Do you register because you think a keyword too good to let it go
OR
Do you register it because.............................
???
I first registered a domain, because i dint want to loose domain with my last name (wanted to use it as porfolio). and other becasue i thought (though it turned wrong) some domains had good keywords in it and i should not let those go.

My first domain, www.SellMillionPixels.com was for a pixel ad website I was going to make. Also, www.Free-texting.com was bought for a free texting website I am doing with Brandon here at this site. All other domains I own are meant for parking and selling it to people. I have made $120 so far in domain parking with 9 domains that don't really do that much, thank you NameDrive!

I buy a domain because I plan to develope it, but of course... that dosnt always happen.

I never register to sell. I start with an idea for a site, think about a domain and then get to work. I am a developer mainly, I use domains just to have a name for the site  |

Hey, well I register an domain name because it looks more cool ,like a fan and fancy, I also like how it better without too much period . like a subdomain and have redirecting and stuffs , looks mad cool and their own cp.

Sometimes I inpulse buy a domain, those kind of buys usually do NOT result in a development of a site, lol.

I just register for future maybe some day it will make me rich. I sold only one domain for 300 $ last year but otherwise i kept them and adding new once every year.

Once the domain is registered you own it for a period of minimum one year as a contract. You should renew the domain before the contract ends or it will be available to the general public after a few days.

Domain is registered to create our own identity on web... the reason you mentioned also works but mainly for identity.. if you dont have identity then you get all benifits..

I want to register a domain because I believe that most hostings will ask you for it.
And because I believe that domains are crowled first, then subdomain (not sure...)
