Default How can I get back my expired domain name?

One my (or at least it was) domain names expired and I'd like to have it again. What can I do?

I think if you forget to reregister your domain after a year with godaddy, they send you e-mails saying so, and you have to pay $70 to get it back during the 30 day waiting period, after that its open to anyone, and you risk having someone get it. I dont know if this changed lately though.

I think the waiting period may have been shortened, GoDaddy recently informed me that my wait for an expired domain that I buy through their auction will become mine within 2 weeks from purchase date from now on.

They probably figure they'll get faster sales on people re registering exprired domains.

Its expensive to get back domains once they expired, at least during the waiting period. Especially with the Godaddy AfterMarket forming.
