Yes, there are quite a lot of domains. And lots of new extensions are being created every year (I would think). I guess they're trying to increase the domain market.

I'm pretty sure the most expensive domain ever sold was business.com, unless that changed recently.
How would you like to own one of those domains? Wouldnt that be so awesome?
