GoDaddy hosting question.

If I purchase hosting one day then select my supposedly free domain a couple of days laters, will I be charged for anything? Is it ANY extension or is it just .com, .net, .org, .info, etc.? I got a .tv because I figured it's the most expensive. Will they charge me for it or is it free?

Ya godaddy has a lot of offers. It would be better to spending a bit of time reviewing thier terms on the offer.
