Default How to choose a domain?

Hi
Just wondering what tips can you give in choosing a domain name?
Which is much better a branded domain name or keyword rich domain name?

Depending on your topic/niche, target audience, etc. I don't know. Branded isn't always better.

Make sure it is a short name, something easy to remember and type. Even something a little catchy.

You have to consider your target audience also. If you're just wanting to appeal to a certain geographic location you may want to use those kinds of identifiers. for example ..If you wanted to make a site that generates lists of used car dealerships in florida, then you might say. Floridacars.com.. or something of that nature.

You must include in the domain the keywords you are targeting in SERP. Key word rich domain is one of the factor in ranking in SERP.

It can be whatever you want, not just .com. If it's a network, .net, an organization, .org, etc.

Its hard to find domain names that will work but aren't already taken.

By branded, do you mean something that could develop into your own brand? If so, I think that would be better if you are looking for long-term developing your website. However, if you're looking for something quick and short to get your website started and in search engines, key-word rich domain names would be a good choice.

I think you should try and choose a domain name that fits what your website will be about, or just a name you like, and maybe is easy for people to type.

Well I would say a domain that matches the content of your website would be better. But that can also be the most challenging part of starting a site.

Well, yes, I agree with the others. If your domain has nothing to do with your website, it'd be really hard to develop your website.
