1&1. The worst registrar?

Take a look at this article before you think of using 1&1. It definatly made me think again. I'm lucky I sold all my domains registered there.

My registar net4domains is the worst ever, I really regret buying a domain from them.

They don't allow transfers and their dns update takes a frustratingly long time.

Oh. It shouldn't take longer than two days. If it does then yah, try to sell your domains to one person and just give them the account and get out as soon as possible. They sound twisted.

I think they are pretty bad, a year ago I registered a domain name by them 6 after a few months I wanted to change my DNS setting but was getting errors, email the support team many times, no reply for week then they send me email saying I should send the copy of my passport or ID card to confirm my identity bla bla which I did. Then again for week I didn’t hear for them, I called the support team they said that they will get back to me... And finally I got tired and moved to a new Registrar. Due to 1&1 I had almost one and half month’s downtime.

1&1 have been a pretty bad experience for me aswell. I'm lucky I only registered 3-4 domains with them. Their customer service has been awful for me and I hate the Control Panel.

Transferring to NameCheap was a very wise move!
