| |  Who is the fastest Registrar?
I am doing something in a few weeks and speed will be of the essence. I have noticed with GDad that I have atleast 4 steps before actually getting the domain. Anyone have faster experiances with other sites, like one click purchases, etc....

Well I m using enom.com for the 2 years or so its service is fast..I m happy wid them

All the ones I've tried have a few steps. I guess stay away from GoDaddy, 1&1, NameCheap.

Yahoo is fast if you activate the one-click thing but they suck.

I have domains in both Namecheap and Godaddy. Both are great.

NameCheap, they are fast and cheap. They offer a really good service and are hard to beat.

As for who is the fastest registrar for DNS propogation, godaddy beats the rest, imho.

Godaddy takes a few steps to get threw their horrible check-out system but they are very quick at taking payment and updating your site for new DNS data so overall I think using GoDaddy will get your site up and running the fastest.

GoDaddy's layout is actually horrible and so annoying. I can't login to renew one of my domains now.  |

Yeah, I recently set up an account with Namecheap after hearing so many good reviews of them here. Very fast, intuitive website.

The sooner the registrar submits the DNS changes, the sooner the other players involved can do their respective parts. Depending on how soon the others act, DNS propagation can be fast or slow.
