That's pretty messed up considering they just announced they are raising fees by 42 cents.

Another example that money is the only thing that matters to people... jeeze...

Maybe it only costs .14 to be stored on the servers, and pay for the server, but it doesn't pay for the people that have to work for ICANN.

I'm personally not affected with the increase. I just hope they don't increase it by $2 or so.

Well it will affect us all if we register domains because registrars will have to pay more so they will probably increase their prices.

The fee Taylor posted about is VeriSign's wholesale price increase for domain registrars, totally separate from ICANN. Ironically, ICANN lowered their fees.

It's not about the cost, it's about offer and demand , that is why they will raise .com and .net fees, because they are the most demanded.

If they don't raise their prices they could potentially go under. It's not that bad of a raise. Service is still the same. No biggie.

Well, I personally hope that they don't go up for .org's as that is my main domain and the one I care most again, so i better start renewing my domains early
