I probably wouldn't be too concerned about it then, I was looking at it from the angle of you starting a profitable commercial web business. But if your in it for the hobby of having a website then a .us will be fine.
I guess too consider your target demographic. I personally only buy international domain names like .com, .net, .org, .info, and sometimes .biz.

It's not for just a hobby, I'm trying to make money from my web sites by selling stuff on them through affiliate programs, it's just I hadn't thought about trying to sell the actual web site names as a way to make money off them. The 4 .US ones I picked because of the names but .com and .net ect weren't available but the .US was so I took the .US.
I have
2 ---.COMs
13---.NETs
1----.ORG,
4-----.US
1-----.INFO
I took the .US ones above the .INFO .......

I'd personally take .info over .us, as long as the website fit into the .info domain idea. If your website is aimed primarily at a US audience, .us will be a great choice anyway.

I think you can have no problem with .us domain. The important is how you seo and promote your site.

well, if it were to be compared to other sites with a .com or .net extension, what would be the difference? Do this thing goes the same way with .gov and .edu sites?

Hi
I've just registered a couple of domains (in my name) an it asked me if I was a trading or non-trading individual. I put down non-trading because I'm not currently trading. It's just dawned on me that one of the domains is really going to be used (by somebody else, not by me) for e-commerce in the future.
What should I do?
What's the penalty for registering as non-trading when you trade from it? Can this mistake be corrected?
I think I will contact the domain registrar and explain.

The country specific domain names can be great for the companies and firms having mainly local staff and customers because their regular customers already know of the countries and fixed address of them.

.us TLDs are great to have and use for domain hacks. A good example is del.icio.us. It's another one of those TLDs that you would want the .com, .net, etc., for.
