Default Domain names-what do i do with them?

If i have multiple domains that I own, what is the best way to utilize these to help my sites ranking and exposure?

1)redirect each domain to my main site?
2)create a site for each domain and link back as an affiliate?
3)something else?

Thanks

If they're not being used for anything, I would 1) park them with websites that monetize parked domains, or 2) redirect them to the main site.

NOTE: redirecting will redirect visitors of that domain to your main site, but it won't provide any benefits in SEO.

Either redirect or park. How many do you have? You can park and make money.

If you don't use those domain names, just let them expired.
If they are nice domain names, have some backlinks to them? why not do somethings with them?
Me, one, two, three domain names are enough, don't have times, resources for more.

At the moment I have about 50 domains.
1. For five domains I make sites on shared hosting.
2. I use 7 domains for sites on free hosting JoeBucks (UltraHerbal Affiliate). For these sites are used standard Branded Store templates.
3. Other domains are intended for sale on SEDO and park on NameDrive. (For 20 days of about 400 unique viewings and 20 click - $3 of profit)

There can be many things to do with the new domains. Adding content and making them powerful websites, or if they are great names, selling them in online auctions and many other things.

I've done that too have more domain names then what I have time to do something with, but I keep slowly trying to work with them to get something up on them and then add to them when I can. I've done that with about 15 sites now. I would not recommend that you make redirects with the extra sites, to your main site. I think this would penalize you in the search engine rankings if you have redirects. Instead put a link to your main site on them. That will get you incoming links, it will drive traffic to your main sites and you won't be penalized by the search engines and lose ranking for having redirects.

Arrow Re: Domain names-what do i do with them?

If you have some programming ability, you could write a framework to automatically generate content for the domain names, relevant to your mainsite. And then also provide link backs to your main site. This would help with SEO.

It really depends what you want to get out of them. If you want money, then park them with ads. If you want to boost your main site, then definitely go with the SEO option. SEO is in my opinion the best form of advertising on the internet.
