Best way to handle PSDs for a noobie

I'm not really a photoshop guy. I have been using a software called Paint Shop Pro for a while now but have been looking to use photoshop.

Overall, I don't like it. Is there a light-weight alternative for handling PSDs? Everyone I find is garbage.

hmmm yess.. but its very much similar to photoshop... you can use coral draw too. but both have same same.. extentions and compatibility and functions too. try that may be you like it...

I ended up finding some freeware called FileSee. It allows me to at least view a PSD file without loading up a bulky program.

I've been using photoshop for a while now but I find it good. try using photoshop cs3 luke, it may change your mind.

Well, let me ask you this....How much did you pay for Photoshop? I don't like the idea of downloading software, which seems to be the answer for a lot of people. I don't see myself paying those kinds of prices just to edit some images. Really discouraging.

try imagestyler. It's also a good tool.
