Back links update

Does google updated the back links recently? Its kinda late to post this cause I've observed it recently. I noticed that most of my sites and blogs changed its back links. Good thing they all increasing but the worst is some drop in the SERP.
Does anyone experience the same?

You're kinda late because Google recently updates PR as well as backlinks as of August 20

^^yup and some people would like to refer to it us mini-updates. don't know much about it but am glad that few of my blogs caught some PR

me too, my first blog lost it's Pr on the previous update but it is back on the latest as PR 3 from unranked

Something did happen during this past week, after the initial PR update at the end of July. I had a domain that was fairly new and had no real backlinks that went to a PR2. About a week ago, the PR disappeared. Also, I had some domains that were unranked go to PR0. I think something is in the midst.

And my blog decreases it's backlinks but pr remains the same.

I think it's kinda late to reply to this thread.. but still I want to share it. hehe. In this update my 1 week old blog also acquired PR 0 and Im so happy with it.. Anyways you could check it out by yourself. That blog is justseoit.com. Try going to whois and check it for yourself..

In terms of keyword promotion and page rank optimization,, my best priority is Google.com.

But in terms of backlinks, I less prioritize Google..

Google is not showing all their backlinks for your site. Why worry so much..

My site went from a PR2 to PR3, then back to a PR2 recently. They are staying on top of the updates, just not doing as many updates I believe.

That's why they did not show backlinks just to protect other site from competitors unlike yahoo and msn

I know a new update is supposedly planned for September 18th, not sure if it's going to happen or not though...
