Well, I think black hat SEO is something belonging to the past because the search engines and especially Google nowadays are already well aware of some unnatural site optimization techniques.

Its simple, White hat SEO is well behaved, they always follow the rules and don't get out of the box...
While Black hat SEO's are the one who don't care about the rules, spam, keyword stuffing and link farming, cloaking and a lot more that get's them banned by Google...

something that I got to add to what I just said^.. well, mostly why people do white hat techniques wrongly and turn them into black hat techniques is that they don't give time to read a specific site's rules and guidelines.. without following this, your efforts on promoting or advertising with that site would be worthless and your site would even be in trouble with that website.
