I gotta have my desktop. I have access to laptops and I have a hard time typing on those keyboards and can't stand the little mouse pad thing.

Default Re: laptop or Desktop?

For a long time I would say desktop is better, but I have a laptop for 1 year now and I absolutely love it. Now i can take it with me and I have more space on my desk to fill it with other junk since the laptop is smaller than the desktop

Just 2 days ago, I sold my laptop and bought a desktop.
I definitely don't regret it. I like to be able to upgrade freely too, and that's not really an option with laptops.

Very true. Laptops cause alot of problems, especially with the battery sometimes. BEcome so much of a hassle.. so unless I need a notebook for traveling, I stick with desktops.

I find it hard with laptops to get used to the small screen. I'd have to get a big screen laptop if I ever got one.

Default Re: laptop or Desktop?

Although I like my laptop, the problem with it is the 4200RPM hard disk drive. If I hook in a 7200RPM disk in it, it's battery would last lot less and battery life is important for me. Because of so many of my applications that need more I/O power, I have to remain with my Desktop PC.

I am all for a desktop. I can not stand laptops or atleast all of the laptops that I have ever used. To me a laptop is not worth it because of the price and the quality I think that desktops are much better. You can slo upgrade them more easily.
