Default usability

The first thing I heard when I attempted to enter into the field of web design is usability. I have a very slight idea of this subject and it is to take into consideration about the user. I hope this can be clarified into more details.

Usability is a quality attribute that assesses how easy user interfaces are to use. The word "usability" also refers to methods for improving ease-of-use during the design process. Usability is defined by five quality components:
  • Learnability: How easy is it for users to accomplish basic tasks the first time they encounter the design?
  • Efficiency: Once users have learned the design, how quickly can they perform tasks?
  • Memorability: When users return to the design after a period of not using it, how easily can they reestablish proficiency?
  • Errors: How many errors do users make, how severe are these errors, and how easily can they recover from the errors?
  • Satisfaction: How pleasant is it to use the design?

Usability on the case of HTML.

Some hosting providers know that some members don't know HTML. So they put in a WYSIWYG editor. This is a set of buttons as you see on all forums above the posts (for editing text). You can insert links, pictures, tables, lists, videos... and this way you can create a simple (only basic) website.
