Ok I suppose I should say what I'm needing this for. I'm needing to make a video with my camcorder, then put it on the web. Any suggestions on good products for that?

Whats wrong with Windows Movie Maker. It can probably do most of the stuff that Premier Elements can do and it is cheaper and easier to get into. In fact, it comes installed with XP!! Just update it with the latest patches and features from the Microsoft Website and you're ready to go. Then, maybe if you like it, you can then fork out on another package.

Here is a simple suggestion: use your camera, record it, then convert it to AVI, from AVI convert it to flash, and bingo, you have a sweet looking movie with controls and everything. Maybe i'm not getting da point?
