I am curious to see what our members use for tracking their traffic.
I currently use Statcounter, its free and it provides a customizable counter and even allows you set it to invisible. It also has pretty good reports for a free script.
What do you use?
I have seen some people use urchin from Google but have never seen what types of reports it provides etc..

I use Awstats. I've tried other things but Awstats is the best in my opinion.

It gives everything, unique visitor counts, all the basic info, what browser people are using, how they go to your site, through what search engine, by what keywords, etc.
I use extremetracking and awstats and they give much different numbers. The awstats numbers are always much higher than the extremetracking numbers. I don't know which is right.

Ive tried extremetracking and at first didnt understand it so just left it. The first one I tried was statcounter but they only have a 100 size for logs which is too small for websites getting a lot of traffic. In the end I always go back to AWSTATS. cPanel comes with it from what I know.

Awstats. I don't like any other tool to track traffic, unless I get a better one than awstats.

I've been using Statcounter for over a year now and it's, I must say, one of the best out there. But then again I haven't used many either. I used to use something with thousands sets of customised images, and extremetracker (or something like that) but stopped after days of figuring things out. Statcounter is very nice and I would recommend it to anyone. It's really good. |

Google analytics is the way to go! Awstats is good as well but I have never had much luck configuring it to work on my own server. Works great in cpanel though lol...
