| | Spelling Errors
What of my biggest pet peeves is visiting a website and finding spelling errors. I always take the time to spell check my sites before putting them 'live'.
I normally do this visually, but I just found a spell checker for websites: Code: http://ekstreme.com/spell-checker/
I ran my main page through it and had no errors with the exception of proper names and places.
Thought I would pass it on, to see what your results are like.

Yes, I agree spelling errors make you look unprofessional. It makes you look like you can't even spell words right, much less run a successful site. So, I agree, make sure both your grammar and spelling are correct before writing anything!

If you have a phpBB forum they have their own MOD that does the spell checking on your whole site, posts and all.

That's awesome. Dreamweaver has one too, but obviously that wouldnt work in a forum or cms environment.
It's a good idea, considering the amount of spelling errors some of the sites out there have. Totally annoying, you know?

Blogger has it's own spell checker.
SMF forum script also.
Some people write posts in Word(!), make spell checking, then post on the forum.
I used http://iespell.com you have to download and install it. It works only in I.E. and only when you edit a text. Once you set it up, you get a link in the I.E. toolbar, on the right mouse button and in every vBulletin board (I guess).

i've used spellbound extension for firefox, it works its charm, however different language often causes problems (major languages are covered, so you shouldnt have a problem).
