I don't really use that much software, I just use regular old notepad, and sometimes the online web editor, such as the one within cpanel.

Khm...
I use COOLTEXT for simple logo creating
and BANNERBREAK for banners
These are two simple free online tools for creating basic banners and logos. You have pre-designed templates available, then you put in the text and edit it.

I have PS CS2 on this PC and PS 7 on my other, I love both and they suit everything I do on them
For animations I always use imageready-though I know there are better programs out there, I'm too lazy to look |

Photoshop CS 2 is what I use. Its easy to create some good things on photoshop, I've designed a number of my sites using it.

Photoshop CS. Hands down. My graphics would suck without it. I like to code in Dreamweaver.

For webdesign (layouts, avatars, wallpapers, etc.) I used Photoshop and Image Ready~ For coding (when I used my Windows) I use Notepad & Wordpad; when I'm on my MAC I use Chinese Text Editor =)

My favourite design tools are Corel Photo Paint and Photoshop CS. I really love working with Photoshop because of its simple interface. Corel Photo Paint sometimes create problems.

I try to keep my sites to a minimum of graphics. mostly good use of html with heavy css'ing if i do have a graphic, it's usually hand drawn, scanned and cleaned up with the gimp, or a vector drwaing with inkscape. hurray for open source tools | |
