How do you create a transparent background in pgotoshop?

1. Open photoshop
2. File, New
3. Change background contents to empty
4. Click ok, done

When you create an image in Photoshop, i htink at the very first screen where you give image dimenstions, it does ask you to choose background color or leave it transparent

Also...you will need to save the file as either gif or png to save the transparency...but I guess you probably already know that :idea:
