Anyone ever buy a template, like from template monster, or get a free one online and use it?

Do you think its worth it to buy the templates that cost like $10?

I dint buy any, but one of my friend told me its not worth it, as they mainly emphasize on image, which make those templates really big.

Not sure if thats true, but if it is then its not worth buying them.

It's not worth it. Nor does it worth to spend 50 usd for a VB skin or IPB skin that's been sold to someone before. Nowadays only UNIQUENESS will make a site look really good. Even if someone buys a custom template or skin if it's been used by someone else, then he's in the first spot once again. Template monster sells some nice templates, but for exclusivity one pays way too much, not to mention this doesn't mean someone doesn't have the design yet. When buying exclusive templates, better see if they weren't yet downloaded. If they are used by another, better download a free one since the site will look already like other sites and would lose it's uniqueness

Yea, although now I can just make my own
