I like TemplateBox.com.. but I haven't found many other truly free template sites to compare it to.

For paid ones, I think BoxedArt.com is head and shoulders above the rest.

templatemonster is indeed a good site. And for the free ones, I think its best to jsut search google and use a combination of a few sites, since most free template sites dont have too many good templates.

depends on which category you are looking for actualy. for example i do designs on phpnuke and phpbb mainly. i have had SO many clients comming back to me begging to redesign after buying templates from templatemonster.

from my lil experience i can tell phpnuke and phpbb templates... well templatemonster is NOT the place for that.
boxedart on the other hand.. a true classic

Well nautical-twilight.com has good designs but Template monster is better.

I'm using free templates on my blog. there are many on the net offering a free template.

I have used free templates in the past. I was able to find some really good ones in the categories I needed. However I was limited on how I used them, and I needed to make sure I left the name of the site. and have it linked. As you would expect the really great templates costs.
I guess it depends on your needs.

Paid templates are better than free templates .

I've found high quality templates for free that only required a call-back.
Making templates requires quite a bit of work, especially if your new since it takes days possibly weeks to successfully get what you want.

There are lots of free templates on the internet and you don't need paid templates at all. Assuming the fact that paid templates has good quality, common but some sites offers free template that is a duplicate of the paid template.

Call back meaning a link back to the creator of the template.

Correct,

Callbacks give the creators backlinks, plus they give the creators a way to show who's the original author of the website.
