How do you make your templates?

Hey, just wondering how most people here make their templates. I.E. do you make the template and save as PSD then splice and import, do directly on dreamweaver. . . notepad lmao jk. Will be interesting to know

I use Photoshop then code it in Taco Editor

Cool, I use photoshop as well, then put in my good ol Dreamweaver MX.

Forgot to say. I usally put my files into .jpg or .gif. It really depends on the image, if I want it too look better then .jpg

Personally, I prefer .gif, you can compress the files a lot smaller without sacrificing as much quality.

.gif isn't as nice as it used to be.. but I still like PNG as an alternative to .gif

I not a good designer so I have hired a web designer from India. He makes awesome designs for lesser price. I'm quite happy with his services.

I do my sites directly on Dreamweaver.

I don't exactly know how to do the splicing this? How do you do that Zockolos and Gareth?

I personally use Photoshop, then export the nessicary slices to code. I then code the CSS/XHTML in Notepad. Other useful software I use include Notepad++, Firebug (a FireFox extension), and many other less significant yet important applications.

DomainRealty you should really consider investing in Dreamweaver. I think I am going to make a dreamweaver v notepad thread in one sec lol.

I have Dreamweaver, but I prefer not to use it. It's all about preference

I make all of my templates in photoshop, and code them using dreamweaver. I did see a really nice template a guy made using only paint and notepad as part of a contest.

Wow, must have been really hard to work with paint rofl. You should post a link to that, would be rather entertaining to see.
