Default The new Macromedia line up

Anyone checked out the new Macromedia 8 line-up yet? Anyone think they will be getting it?

In about 30 minutes, I will be attending an online seminar to see what improvements Studio 8 has over MX2004. I'll let you know my thoughts afterwards.

Nevermind, Macromedia kept having technical difficulties so I gave up on 'em. I'm sure I'll attend one the later ones.

One thing I did find out, though, is that Studio 8 will not have Freehand but will include Contribute. I would only upgrade if I get to hold onto my version of Freehand because I am getting into more print work.

It looks like Flash 8 has a lot of really great improvements. Would have loved to seen the improvements on the other products. Oh, well! I'm sure I'll be sticking with MX 2004 for a while... I just bought it at the beginning of this year.

Macromedia has some great software probably near the best. FlashMX is very cool to use especially once you get the hang of it.

I've checked out the reviews and what was available in the macromedia site. They have worked on some improvements for Flash such as usability enhancements, lens mode, better tools for illustrators, new codec, script assist mode, mobile device emulator, etc. It looks nice, but I don't think I'll be able to get it soon.

Definatly, I barely use any of the macromedia studio but the new changes are just phenominal looking, Flash will really be good, I personally hated Flash mx 2004 and cant wait to get my hands on the new flash 8, I liked the previous Dreamweaver but thats somewhere I dont want to get left behind

rooted: I hear the online seminars are great, a freind just took part in one and im going to later id love to leanr some more about the product/s

I signed up for a second attempt at the Studio 8 intro seminar and then missed the seminar altogether. I was kicking myself when I realized.

I probably won't attempt to sign up for another one of that particular seminar since I'm about 99% sure I won't be upgrading. If I take the time to learn about the changes, there is a good chance I'll be impressed and then irritated that I can't afford the upgrade.

I already know that I like the new Flash alot better than MX 2004, which is what I've got now.
