By no means am I a pro SEO player but there is one thing that I have found works great to get people linking to you for free.

Top 10 ...
Top 100...

These are great titles that are unique and people love. On my online business blog, I made a post called "Top 10 Ways People Think"

Post was linked to all over the place.

Just a little tip for you guys. I had great success with it and thought I would pass on the info

Any post suggestions from you guys ?

I think he meant it as the "top ten" link bait method not top ten link bait methods. its where you place a list and rank it.

It was meant to prove a point, everyone clicks on links that have those words in it, especially blog posts.

Its really easy to do, make an article and fill it with points then post it round social networks like Digg and Stumble Upon. If it is a decent link bait then people will like it and may link from their blogs.

It has happened with one of my blogs unintentionally and got me around 50 backlinks (all good backlinks) for doing nothing.

A good article is the best way to have a link bait. It can attract more visitors.

Yes, any time you create a list and call it Top X anything its bound to peak peoples attention, especially the crowd over at digg.com
