Is it any good?

From a SEO perspective I can't see it being great, I mean you won't have much text on your blog unless you pad it out a bit with what each video is about.

So in that case your going to have to rely on referring links to get good traffic to your blog.

Just wondering if anyone with some experience in it could shed some light? btw I have a video script I got from a forum that dnlodgers hate hehe

I haven't tried it but I'd imagine it'd be good for whoever does it. Look at YouTube. It's filled with random people sharing their thoughts, days, etc.

well I am talking about video sharing..just put some video tuts or some videos and start a website with just that!! like a collection of funny videos or amazing videos!!

You can ofcourse use youtube for advertising your site...I am very lazy when it comes to blogging about topics that I dont know so for guys like me collect some video type a oneliner on top and a couple of lines at the bottom and a unique video to finish things of sounds easier

You mean like youtube

I see a lot of sites that do this, but I don't think they are all that successful. If all you are doing is scraping youtube and throwing up a sentence or two about the video, you probably won't see much benefit or rank very well. Likely the places that you get your traffic from, social sites and the like, won't convert very well.

If you are going to try to build a site like this, I would suggest creating a decent amount of original content for each video.

Actually, this is what we call social media. It includes youtube, veoh, and other stuff similar to them. This might attract more traffic to visit your website, but still have some very strong content that has keywords in it. As we all know, search engine crawlers cannot recognized images, flash and even videos but you can do something to be able to recognize.

video blogging seems interesting but when optimizing it, would it be the same with the normal site?
