Default What shall I use for web graphics editing?

Hi Everybody!
We'd like to open a new department for web site design, but I know nothing about PRO graphics software. Can you tell me what software to choose and what it will cost me?
Thanks in advance for your help!

Welcome!

I think you'll find that most will agree that Photoshop from Adobe wins, hands down. It is the industry standard and should be the first option to consider. If you also need your graphics software to be used for print work, as well, you may want to consider Adobe Illustrator.

I don't use these personally so I can't tell you the prices off the top of my head but you should be able to find all you need about that at www.adobe.com

I personally use Fireworks from Macromedia but since Adobe bought Macromedia out, the future of Fireworks is looking kinda bleek.

Yea, I would suggest Photoshop as Rooted did. It surely is the ebst out of all of them. It usually takes a few months to be able to use it and know what your doing, but once you got it down its AWESOME!
