I think this is helpful and true. A big thing in websites is the "purpose statement". A lot of websites are popping up all over, but generally for personal reasons. I think if it was a broader purpose, the website would be more successful.

They may have been practical when the only people who could afford the internet all knew each other, but now their just cluttering cyberspace.
