Just curious how many visitors/hits per day everyone gets?

visitors 100-200 a day -- hits -- about 2000-10000 a day, i had 300,000 hits in january

Wow, I'm really impressed with the above sites getting so many visitors a day.

My two sites I tried link referral on was just for one month then I found out my advertisers didn't allow me to belong to that so I had to retire them from link referral, they don't consider the clicks from there as quality clicks. But I think I'll try it again the next site I set up but before I put ads up on them just to get them started.

Did the two sites in the posts above start out like this?

Have they been up a long time like a couple of years to build up 300-500 people a day?

Can I expect my sites to grow over time to get 300-500 people a day?
or
Am I doing something very wrong?

My sites are growing in visitor numbers but is this slow growth? or
Is this normal growth to start out with ?

Is there something about my sites that I could improve to generate more visitors?

I have two sites that are at ranging all over the place, i have yet to figure out the variables. very wide range.

one is 4 yrs old and doing around 1500 uniques a day. total hits for the month are anywhere from 1.5 million to 2million. bots are excluded in the count.
its also gets anywhere from 5 to 35 new members a day. some of these of course are spammers trying to get in.

i also have another one that is about 6 months old doing about 10 a day, im guessing on that one because i don't have statistics enabled on that one yet.(statistics slows the site down, don't want to do that till i have to) im lucky if i get 1 new member a month on this one. and most of them are my friends checking it out. its depressing

Thanks rudedog, that is encouraging for me. It sounds like it is just a mater of time then and that my sites will eventually build up more traffic as time goes on. For some reason my Buckeye tree site seems to be growing the fastest. I have no idea why. I was encouraged just because they all are getting more visitors every month but I had no idea if they were growing at a normal rate or not and if I could expect them to keep growing to the point where they will start getting hundreds of visits per day. Thank you very much for your answer to my questions.
