It helps I won't lie, but if your security can be pentrated without using a password then even a 64digit hash password would be worthless.

how about if your password is composed of a sentence with two numbers in it? Would that help?

As I said before, it helps, although without the proper security it means nothing.

For instance, SSL protects your password long enough so that you don't have to worry about theft via XSS. (Cross-Site Scripting)
